GREG BURLEY
Blood Sausage
A cooking show which combines the rituals of the kitchen with the rituals of blood-letting. Following the completion of the dish, all are invited to participate in that great Aussie tradition, the sausage sizzle.
Burley's intensely personal work "blood sausage" will promote discussion of body, ownership and sharing in the contexts of individual and social relationships ocurring under the increasingly interventionist policies of political authority. A work about the body, humanity and choice.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Greg Burley graduated from Curtin University of Technology in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts (Art). Exhibitions/performances have included: The Degree Show, Curtin University; Supermart 2004, Breadbox Gallery and The National Review of Live Art Midland 2003, as part of Richard Layzell’s performance workshop.
