WHEN TO SET OUT YOUR BULK REFUSE
If you do receive a bulk refuse collection, (see above), you will receive a brochure in your letterbox approximately 10 days before commencement of the collection, outlining what items can be placed out for collection.
Too Early Set Out of Your Bulk Refuse:
-
Will encourage others to set out early too
-
Make an area untidy looking for an unacceptable and necessary length of time
-
Could attract scavengers to your area
-
Often results in litter being scattered or windborne throughout your area
-
May result in some greenwaste becoming dry and brittle making it difficult to remove
-
May result in you being asked to remove it from the verge until closer to your scheduled collection time
A GENERAL GUIDE TO THE BULK REFUSE COLLECTIONS
The bulk refuse collection truck uses a crane mechanism and it is essential that bulk refuse IS NOT placed below power poles or trees, near boundary fences, or on top of sprinklers, where it can be avoided.
Refuse placed out for collection after the crew has completed the street or area will not be collected.
NO re-runs will be undertaken.
